Happy Friday from Literacy Connexus again everyone! We hope that this blog post finds you happy, healthy, and full of hope, inspiration, and hopefully a good breakfast.

If you happen to find yourself looking for inspiration, motivation, or a -tion of any kind to take your ESL ministry off of your to do list and onto your accomplished list, then here is your reminder to join Literacy Connexus and Literacy Texas on May 6th!

Literacy Connexus has partnered with Literacy Texas to host a symposium for faith affiliated programs on May 6th and I want to use today’s post to invite all of you to join us – it’s free for all!

We’ll be offering session tracks for both ESL teachers and volunteers and ESL ministry program directors and leaders. There’s something for everyone! And best of all, did I mention that it was free?

The 2022 Literacy Symposium for Faith-Affiliated Programs has the theme “Pandemic Perseverance“. We want to encourage programs and instructors to persevere in the pandemic aftermath.

The symposium will be held online on Friday, May 6, 2022, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Check-in for registered participants will open on Zoom at 8:45 am.

This symposium is offered free of charge to educators, volunteer tutors, ESL teachers, and other library and nonprofit professionals who work in the fields of adult and family literacy. While this symposium is specifically focused on volunteers and staff at faith-affiliated literacy programs, all literacy volunteers and staff are welcome to attend.
